Dear Colleagues:
The brilliant lights and energy of Las Vegas beckon. Join me for the 106th AAO Annual Session — Bright lights, Winning Smiles. The AAO will hold this spectacular meeting May 5-9, 2006, at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas.
The planning committee for this Annual Session has put together a comprehensive, cutting-edge Scientific Program and Orthodontic Staff Program. The Scientific Program will cover the impact of technology, practice efficiencies, treatment strategies, implants, practice management and many other topics. The Annual Session will offer you an excellent opportunity to meet with your colleagues from all of over the world. See what others are doing; share your experiences!
In addition to clinical and practice-management lectures, you can participate in the complimentary Life Enhancement Program. These inspirational lectures on Sunday, May 7 and Monday, May 8 will help you maintain your perspective in this busy world. The program will feature Steve Uzzell, Steve Farrar, J.D. Frailey, Connie Podesta, Dr. Edwin McDonald, Dr. Juliana Panchura, Cheryl Nason and Karen Cortell Reisman.
The Opening Ceremonies on Saturday, May 6 will feature an outstanding live performance by Grammy Award winner Trisha Yearwood, who just released her latest country-music album. You also won’t want to miss the Excellence in Orthodontics Luncheon on Sunday, May 7. During this luncheon, some of the best and brightest within the specialty will be awarded with top honors. The Rt. Hon. Sir John Major, KG, CH, former prime minister of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, will be the keynote speaker.
From the iconic casino resorts and high-energy shows to the fantastic world-class restaurants, shopping venues and golf courses, this thriving city — a nighttime jewel in the desert — has so much to offer us.
I look forward to seeing you in Las Vegas!
Sincerely,

B. Melvin DeSoto, DDS, MS
