The American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), National Alliance for Youth Sports (NAYS) and former football great and Hall of Famer Emmitt Smith presented a “Play It Safe” sport safety assembly to more than 500 children from Carol Middle School in Miami on February 2. Together, the AAO and Smith provided information on the importance of sports safety and the use of mouth guards. Additionally, Smith was available for a question and answer session with the students as well as group photos. All of the students were given a mouth guard as well as a "Play It Safe" poster.
