Audience: Staff
Are temporary anchorage devices (TADs) here to stay in orthodontics? Will they be used in your orthodontic practice? Will they allow orthodontists to do things they couldn’t do before? Will they allow orthodontists to do things they could do before, but now can do in a less invasive way?
This presentation is designed to help the orthodontic auxiliary understand what orthodontic anchorage was in the past and what it is in the 21st century with this exciting new technology. Learning objectives include: 1. Gain a true understanding of the term orthodontic anchorage. 2. Gain an understanding of the basis and rationale for the use of TADs in orthodontics. 3. Gain an understanding of some of the common clinical applications for the use of TADs in orthodontic practice.
