Membership requirements appear on Page 2 of the AAO membership application.  After printing the form from your computer and filling it out completely, mail or fax to:

Student, International Student, and Orthodontic Staff Club applications are processed upon receipt.  All other applications are approved by the AAO Board of Trustees 4 times a year in February, May, August, and November.  Upon election to active membership, you will be also become a member of your constituent (regional) organization.  For more information, send an email to membership@aaortho.org or call (800) 424-2841, Ext. 518.

  1. Great Lakes Association of Orthodontists: Comprised of members practicing in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, that part of Pennsylvania west of the Alleghenies, and the Canadian province of Ontario.

  2. Middle Atlantic Society of Orthodontists: Comprised of members practicing in New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, that part of Pennsylvania east of the Alleghenies, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, and the American Virgin Islands.
